A family office writing about markets, mostly for the fun of it.

Vanta Capital is a private family office. We are not selling anything, we are not raising a fund, and we are not managing outside money. This site exists for one reason: we enjoy thinking about the global economy, and writing forces us to think more clearly.

What you will find here is our own reading of the macro picture — interest rates, currencies, commodities, credit, and the occasional detour into whatever has caught our attention that week. We write to sharpen our own views and to keep an honest record of what we thought and when we thought it.

How to read this site

Thoughts on the Markets is where we publish our own analysis and positioning ideas, in plain language.

Replies & Rebuttals is where we link to work we found interesting but disagree with, and explain why. Disagreement here is a compliment — we only bother arguing with people worth reading.
